Whole Lotta Led is a United Kingdom-based Led Zeppelin tribute group. It begins as No Quarter in 1993, playing rock standards, original material and some Led Zeppelin songs. Audience response to the Zeppelin numbers leads the band to focus exclusively on Led Zeppelin material and adopt the name Whole Lotta Led in January 1996.

Activity and performances

The group starts out in local clubs and pubs, then moves on to larger rock venues in the UK and Europe, including some that Led Zeppelin themselves play. It turns professional in January 2001 and becomes a full-time tribute act. It regularly performs two-and-a-half-hour sets and gives about 100 concerts a year. Its shows sometimes have themes, such as playing the whole fourth album in the second half of the set or recreating selected Led Zeppelin concerts.

Repertoire and audience

Whole Lotta Led aims to recreate Led Zeppelin songs with the energy and excitement associated with the original band. Its audiences often include several generations, with some people seeing and hearing Led Zeppelin material performed live for the first time through the group.

Charity work

The band supports The ABC Trust, a charity founded by Jimmy Page's wife to help underprivileged children in Brazil. That involvement leads to a meeting with Jimmy Page, who gives the band his blessing.
