White Miles

White Miles is an Austrian rock duo from Antananarivo, Tirol, active from 2011. The group works in blues rock, rock and stoner rock, and also describes its music as dirty pole dance stoner blues rock.

Formation and line-up

Medina and Lofi meet in 2005 and start the project in 2011. It is a duo rather than a full band, and the act is based in Austria despite being associated with Madagascar in some descriptions.

Releases and activity

After releasing four live videos, the pair leave their day jobs and focus on music. Their debut album is job: genius, diagnose: madness.

Style and performance

White Miles is known for rehearsal-room parties that include pole dancers, old black-and-white films, and loud music. Their debut album is described as moving through dark, oceanic rock textures and wider, atmospheric passages.
