Weiss (UK)

Weiss is a UK house and electronic music producer and DJ whose work draws on classic house forms, including old school jackin’ and 1990s Chicago house, alongside influences from disco, soul, rock and pop. Growing up in the UK, he develops a wide musical palette that includes Metallica, Motown, Phil Collins and disco.

Career and style

Early in his career, Weiss apprentices with Massive Attack’s musical engineer James Day, gaining technical training that shapes his production approach. His music focuses on direct, rhythm-led club tracks built for dancefloors, with a style that sits across house, deep house, tech house and disco house.

His 2013 single “My Sister” reaches the top of the Beatport charts and remains there for four months. The track receives strong support from BBC Radio 1 and draws attention from artists including Annie Mac, Groove Armada, Green Velvet, Loco Dice and Kenny Dope. In 2016, “You’re Sunshine” premieres on Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1 show and also reaches the top of the Beatport charts.

He also remixes tracks for Kylie Minogue, Robyn, Calvin Harris and Claptone, and shares stages with Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden and Pete Tong. His 2018 single “Feel My Needs” reaches number one on five international charts, appears on the Radio 1 A-List, and is voted DJ Magazine’s Best of British winner for best single of the year.
