Weird Naked Indian
Weird Naked Indian are an alternative acoustic rock group from Port Talbot in South Wales. The trio consists of David Dale, Conor Doig and David Holland, and they are active from 2006 onwards.
Background and work
The group forms one summer and later receives a commission from Michael Sheen to write Home Is Where The Heart Is for his production of The Passion in Port Talbot. They perform alongside Manic Street Preachers, Paul Potts, Them Is Me, Tommy Scott and Joan Armatrading.
Recordings and reception
Their Weird Naked Indian Summer EP receives attention on iTunes and from BBC Introducing. The group is also noted for a style that combines rock elements with acoustic instrumentation.
