We Banjo 3

We Banjo 3 is a Galway-based group active since 2011. It consists of David Howley, Martin Howley, Enda Scahill and Fergal Scahill, and is made up of two sets of brothers.

The group plays Irish folk rooted in traditional Celtic tunes, with elements of ragtime and bluegrass. Their music is noted for its mix of styles and for a playing approach described as combining freshness and finesse.

Their debut album, Roots of the Banjo Tree, is voted Best Traditional Music Album of the Year in 2012.
