Voxtrot

Voxtrot is an indie pop and indie rock group from Austin, United States, active from 2003. The band is fronted by Ramesh Srivastava and includes Jason Chronis and Jared Van Fleet.

The group also includes Mitch Calvert and Matt Simon in its original quintet lineup. Its sound is described as indie pop rock and jangle pop, and its listed tags also include indie, twee and alternative.

Releases

Voxtrot begins releasing music in 2005 with its debut EP, Raised by Wolves, issued on its own Cult Hero Records. In 2006 it follows with Mothers, Sisters, Daughters & Wives and then Your Biggest Fan. The group’s first full-length album, Voxtrot, arrives in 2007, with “Blood Red Blood” as its first single.

Activity

In 2010, Ramesh Srivastava says the band is breaking up after a farewell tour. The group later reunites for touring and reissues its earliest material on vinyl.
