Voodoo Glow Skulls are a ska punk group from Riverside, United States, active since 1988. Their music combines ska, punk and metal, and they are also associated with hardcore punk and latin rock.

Formation and early years

The band forms in 1988 in Riverside, California, founded by brothers Frank, Eddie and Jorge Casillas with their longtime friend Jerry O'Neill. They rehearse for two years in a back bedroom practice space before developing a tight live unit known for intense performances and a dark sense of humour.

Live scene and associations

Backyard parties help spread their name locally, and after Spanky's Cafe opens they play notable shows with the Angry Samoans, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the Dickies.

The group includes Frank Casillas, Eddie Casillas, Jorge Casillas and Jerry O'Neill, alongside later members Dan Albert, Mark Bush, A.J. Condosta, Chris Dalley, Gabriel Dunn, Ruben Durazo, Eric Fazzini, James Hernandez, Brodie Johnson and Anthony Raya.
