Vintage Culture is the recording name of Brazilian DJ and producer Lukas Ruiz, who is active in house and EDM. Born in Brazil in 1993, he becomes one of the most visible Brazilian electronic artists of his generation.

Career

Vintage Culture builds a large international profile through streaming and radio play, with a combined total approaching one billion streams across Spotify and YouTube. He appears on the cover of Rolling Stone and is included in Forbes magazine’s 30 under 30 list.

Releases and chart success

In 2020, Vintage Culture reaches number one on the Billboard Dance Club chart with “In The Dark”, a collaboration with Fancy Inc. Another track, “Deep Inside of Me”, credited with MKLA and Adam K, sits in the top 10 of the same chart. He releases music through AFFAIRS and his own label, Vintage Culture Music.

Festival work and live shows

Vintage Culture also runs the branded festival series Só Track Boa, which draws large crowds in Brazil and extends to North America. The series includes sold-out events in New York, San Francisco, Miami and Boston.

Broadcast and media presence

His music is a regular feature on BBC dance programmes and remains in rotation on NRJ in France, Slam FM in the Netherlands, SiriusXM in the United States and Triple J in Australia.

Charity

He also uses his platform for fundraising, raising more than $100,000 through the COVID-19 relief project Só Track Doa.
