Vieon

Vieon is a synthpop group from Coventry. Its music draws on 1970s synthpop pioneers such as Jean-Michel Jarre and Kraftwerk, as well as the cinematic electronic film scores of the 1980s. The group combines analogue textures and dystopian themes with synth hooks, bass grooves, extended solos and layered electronic arrangements.

The material is described as evolving, emotive and spacey, with a focus on atmospheric electronic sound. The group releases the single Starfighter and the full-length album The Sound Of The Future.
