Victor Ruiz Huidobro is a DJ and producer from São Paulo, Brazil, working in techno and minimal techno. He begins as a bass guitarist at the age of 10 and later moves into electronic music after a friend who produces techno introduces him to the scene. With that same help, he starts producing his own tracks.

Background and influences

Ruiz’s musical influences include heavy metal, techno and motion picture soundtracks. He studies electronic music production at Anhembi Morumbi University and completes the course in 2008.

Style and production

He makes a personal form of minimal techno built around layered textures, unusual melodies and a strong, hard bass line. His work is described through its focus on the dancefloor.

Ruiz remixes tracks by Smokers Area & BoomCardona, Bigger Than Jesus and André Bastos. His own tracks are remixed by Nathan F., Minicoolboyz and Bigger Than Jesus. He also reaches the Beatport Minimal Top 100 twice.
