Veronica Falls are an indie pop group from London, United Kingdom, active from 2009 to 2014. The line-up consists of Roxanne Clifford, James Hoare, Marion Herbain and Patrick Doyle, with Clifford on vocals and guitar, Hoare on guitar and vocals, Herbain on bass, and Doyle on drums and vocals.

Background

The band forms in London in 2009 and includes members who previously play in The Royal We and Sexy Kids. Their sound is associated with indie pop, and they issue material in the UK and the US from 2010 onwards.

Albums and singles

Veronica Falls release their self-titled debut album in 2011 through Slumberland Records. Their second album, Waiting for Something to Happen, follows in 2013 on Slumberland and Bella Union and is recorded and co-produced with Rory Attwell. Before that album, the band releases the singles “My Heart Beats” and “Teenage” in 2012, and “Teenage” also receives a music video in November 2012.

Later activity

After the band’s run, the members pursue separate projects. James Hoare forms The Proper Ornaments with Max Claps and releases Wooden Heads in 2014, and later co-leads Ultimate Painting. Patrick Doyle records as Boys Forever and releases a self-titled album in 2016. Roxanne Clifford begins recording as Patience in 2016. Doyle dies in March 2018.
