Vendex

Vendex is a DJ and producer from Barcelona whose work centres on techno, particularly dark techno, industrial techno, acid and hard techno. He begins mixing at 14 or 15 and starts producing in 2016, after exploring several genres and subgenres of electronic music.

His musical background is shaped in part by summers in Ibiza, where he has family and hears a broad range of artists and styles. Over time, he settles on techno as his main focus and develops a sound built around darkness as a central idea.

Style and influences

Vendex draws on Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy and on alchemy as key influences. He frames his music as an inner journey, using dark melodies, deep and piercing basslines, and otherworldly sounds. He also aims to translate the journey through the nine circles of hell, purgatory and paradise into sound.

His current sessions are influenced by artists including Dax J, Parallx, I Hate Models, Scalameriya, Ancient Methods, Tommy Four Seven and Setaoc Mass.
