Vektor

Vektor is a US technical thrash metal band based in Philadelphia, United States. The group forms in 2002 and is active from 2002 to the present. Its line-up includes David DiSanto, Erik Nelson, Mike Tozzi, Kian Ahmad, Blake Anderson and Frank Chin.

Style and formation

The band develops a progressive, technical approach to thrash metal and is also associated with speed metal and progressive metal. It begins in Arizona before relocating to Philadelphia in 2012.

Releases and label history

Vektor releases its debut full-length album, Black Future, in 2009, followed by Outer Isolation in 2011. Both albums appear on Heavy Artillery Records, and are later re-released after the band joins Earache Records. The band is also associated with Century Media.

Touring and live activity

Vektor continues to perform and tour through 2012 and 2013, including dates with Napalm Death, Municipal Waste, Exhumed, Absu and Cattle Decapitation. It also undertakes multiple headlining tours across the United States and makes its European debut at Hellfest in France in 2013.

Later line-up changes

By December 2016, David DiSanto remains the only member still in the group, after the other members leave to pursue other projects.
