Valve

Valve is a Finnish rock band that has been active since 2006. It is a collaboration between Sami Määttälä and Joni Autio.

Origin and formation

The project begins in September 2006, when Sami Määttälä finishes a track that does not fit his other musical work. Määttälä has been making music since around 1996, using tracker software. Joni Autio contributes lyrics and is described as less prolific as a producer than Määttälä, but strongly interested in a range of music.

Style

Valve is identified as a rock group from Finland. The wider name is also used by other acts and by music associated with the game company Valve Corporation, but the Finnish group is the artist referred to here.
