Usted Señalemelo
Usted Señalemelo is an Argentine rock group from Mendoza, active since 2008. The band forms as a trio around Lucca Beguerie Petrich, Juan Mango and Gabriel Orozco, who start playing together at the age of 13. In 2013, Yuyo Iglesias joins the project.
Style and early approach
The group develops with the intention of combining different kinds of music, from Argentine folk roots to newer forms of alternative indie. Their work sits within Argentine rock and indie, with a strong connection to the Mendoza music scene.
First album
Their first album appears in 2014 and is self-produced. The album is self-titled, and its production also involves Lucca Beguerie Petrich’s father, Carli Beguerie, and Gabriel Orozco’s father, the folklorist Tilín Orozco. The full album is available on Bandcamp.
For the album launch, the band is joined by special guests including Leo García and Walas of Massacre. They perform their own songs as well as versions of Massacre tracks and songs by Gustavo Cerati, arranged especially for the occasion.
Second album and live profile
Usted Señalemelo presents its second album in 2017. Titled II, it is recorded and mixed in Mendoza and New York, and the full release is made available on YouTube and Bandcamp.
The band also appears at Rockódromo in Chile, where it is the only Argentine group on the bill and performs before more than 20,000 people. It also takes part in Ciudad Emergente in Buenos Aires and in Lollapalooza 2017.
Place in Argentine rock
Usted Señalemelo is described as a key group in the musical renewal of Mendoza, combining local roots with indie and alternative sounds while maintaining an active presence in major festivals and releases.
