Upon A Burning Body is a death metal, deathcore and metalcore group from San Antonio, United States, active since 2005. The band is led by vocalist Danny Leal, and also includes guitarist Ruben Alvarez, bassist Thomas Alvarez and drummer Tito Felix. The group is part of the San Antonio metal scene and has remained active across a long period of line-up changes.
Career and releases
The band releases six studio albums and two EPs. It becomes independent in 2023 and issues five singles in that period. Its current line-up includes Danny Leal on vocals, Ruben Alvarez on guitars, Thomas Alvarez on bass and Tito Felix on drums and percussion. Ruben Alvarez also plays bass in the band’s earlier years before moving to guitar.
