Upcdowncleftcrightcabc+start is a two-player simultaneous arcade game that follows two commandos fighting through waves of enemies, including humans, machines, mutants and aliens, to reach a final goal. Its two-player design is unusual for an indie rock act and contributes to its popularity.

The game succeeds in arcades and later becomes especially well known after being ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988. It is also voted number one by IGN.com as the “Toughest Game to Beat”.
