Upbeat Allstars
Upbeat Allstars is a girl-fronted skate-ska/punk group from the south-west of the UK. The band forms in July 2011 and brings together four members: Christie on vocals, Andy on guitar, Jake on bass and Nick on drums.
Background and style
The group draws on skate punk, ska, reggae and rap, and presents an energetic live approach. Before forming, the members together accumulate more than 3,000 gigs with other bands.
Releases and activity
After beginning with a conversation on the beach, the band quickly develops an 18-song album and follows it with UK shows and a European tour. It also issues an EP before the album and later performs on both sides of the Atlantic. The group is already writing its second release and planning further touring.
