Ultramagnetic MC's

Ultramagnetic MC's are a hip hop group from The Bronx, United States, active since 1984. The group includes Ced Gee, Tim Dog, Kool Keith, DJ Moe Love and TR Love.

They release their debut album Critical Beatdown in 1988, with production by Paul C. The record is known for its unusual sampling, dense internal rhyming and striking lyrical imagery, and it helps establish the group as an important part of old school hip hop.

Kool Keith later works with a number of other projects, including The Cenobites with Godfather Don, Dr. Octagon, Masters of Illusion with Motion Man and Kutmasta Kurt, Dr. Dooom, and Project Polaroid with Bay Area producer TomC3.

The group’s music is also widely sampled, including in The Prodigy’s track "Smack My Bitch Up".
