Uburen

Uburen is a Norwegian black metal and Viking metal group from Sandnes, Norway. Formed in 2010, it is active from 2010 to the present.

The band builds its sound around Viking folklore and imagery of battle, presenting its music with a martial, Norwegian focus. Its line-up is described as including three vocals, heavy guitars and Viking horns, with the members working together as a single unit to create a harsh and forceful style.

In 2011, Uburen wins the Norwegian Metal 2 the Masses competition and performs on the Newblood stage at Bloodstock Open Air. The band receives strong responses from both the press and the audience at that event.
