Twizzle

Twizzle is a Seattle-based sampling and songwriting duo made up of Sir Mildred Pitt and Spacecake. The pair begin work in Mildred’s bedroom-turned-studio in the late 1990s, where they build songs from samples taken from scratchy old records. The chosen samples shape the stories and lyrics that Spacecake writes and sings.

The name Twizzle is associated with cutesy cocktail bars, fun, old-fashioned times, and a twisted view of the world. The group’s early release Soda Fountain appears on Comfort Stand Records, and their first full-length album, S’prise Inside, is a commercial release from 2007. That album is available through CDBaby and other retailers.
