Twitching Tongues
Twitching Tongues are a hardcore band from Los Angeles, active since 2009. Their music combines elements of alternative metal, doom metal and metalcore, and they are also associated with metallic hardcore, hard rock and rock. The group’s lineup includes Taylor Young, Anthonie Gonzalez, Cayle Sain and Colin Young.
Releases
The band’s recorded output begins with a demo in 2010 and continues with Sleep Therapy and the Insane and Inhumane EP in 2011. They follow with the Preacher Man EP in 2012, In Love There Is No Law in 2013, World War V (Live) in 2014, Disharmony in 2015 and Gaining Purpose Through Passionate Hatred in 2018.
Style and notable tracks
The band’s songs are described as drawing on depression, anxiety, rage and desperation, with a bleak emotional tone. Tracks such as “Preacher Man”, “Feed Your Disease” and “Sleep Therapy” are singled out as examples of their heavy, confrontational approach.
Label
In 2013, the band is set to release its second full-length record through Closed Casket Activities.
