Twinnie
Twinnie is an English pop-country singer-songwriter and actress from the United Kingdom. Born Twinnie-Lee Moore in 1987, she performs professionally under the name Twinnie and works across music, television and film.
Music
Twinnie develops a style that combines country storytelling with pop structures, while also drawing on rock and electronic elements. Her songs include the tongue-in-cheek Type Of Girl, the observational Social Babies and the more sombre Lie To Me. Her debut album, Hollywood Gypsy, presents an autobiographical collection of songs and mixes 1990s-influenced country styles with contemporary pop sounds. Her work is also associated with Nashville, and she is described as a Radio 2 championed artist and a BCMA award-winner.
Before establishing her own recording career, Twinnie tours as a backing vocalist and dancer for Robin Thicke, Pharrell, Michael Bublé, Justin Timberlake and The Wanted. Her vocals appear on an album by Jamie Lawson, and she also contributes songwriting to The Shires' debut album.
Acting and screen work
As an actress, Twinnie is known for playing Porsche McQueen in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks. Her screen credits also include a role in The Wife, the Oscar-nominated film starring Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce.
