Twilight of the Gods
Twilight of the Gods is a heavy metal group formed as an all-star tribute to Bathory. The band is active from 2010 and is based worldwide. It includes A.A. Nemtheanga, Blasphemer, Frode Glesnes, Patrik Lindgren and Nicholas Barker.
Background and membership
The group takes its name from Bathory’s sixth album, Twilight of the Gods. Its original line-up features Alan Nemtheanga of Primordial, Blasphemer of Ava Inferi, Aura Noir and ex-Mayhem, Frode Glesnes of Einherjer, Nick Barker of Benediction and ex-Dimmu Borgir, and Patrik Lindgren of Thyrfing. A.A. Nemtheanga is also listed as A.A. Nemtheanga.
Releases
The band releases its first album, Fire On The Mountain, in 2013.
Other act with the same name
There is also a separate one-off ambient and industrial collaboration called Twilight of the Gods, formed by Marty Frank and Lorren Stafford. That project releases a self-titled album on Thac0 Records in 2014, focuses on dark drones, noise and epic arrangements, and uses themes from Norse mythology. It also collaborates under the name Treachery with Rachael Kozak, known as Hecate.
