TV Girl

TV Girl is an American indie pop band from San Diego, California. The group consists of lead vocalist Brad Petering, drummer Jason Wyman and keyboardist Wyatt Harmon. Its sound is associated with indie pop, lo-fi, indie, chillwave and pop.

Releases

TV Girl releases three EPs in 2010 and follows them with the mixtape The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle in 2012. The band’s debut album, French Exit, appears in 2014, followed by Who Really Cares in 2016, Death of a Party Girl in 2018 and Grapes Upon the Vine in 2023.

Collaborations and later profile

The band also releases three collaboration albums: Maddie Acid's Purple Hearts Club Band in 2018, Summer's Over in 2021 and Fauxllennium in 2024. From 2022, TV Girl gains wider visibility on TikTok, which helps renew interest in songs including “Lovers Rock”, “Not Allowed”, “Cigarettes Out the Window” and “Taking What's Not Yours”. These tracks then enter music charts in several countries in 2023, even though they were released years earlier.
