Formed in 2009 Troubadour Rose create a strange and thrilling mix of music that is all at once familiar yet intriguing. Each of the trio’s musical stories breathe subtly between the lines…… Troubadour Rose are an alternate folk pop based out of London, UK. Their music puts people in a funny trance which sometimes can be worrying, how will they ever come out of it?! They're a somewhat mixed bunch; is it normal for an ex rockabilly double bassist to fraternise with an artisan of all things old and violin? Or a Yorkshire lass, scratching out songs from her guitar and wailing the loralie to find percussion in a Finnish drummer? Let alone to find a folk hearty Northerner on Gum Tree who can play all that her fingers touch? Fortune and luck struck them a golden deal when stringing them together, and in return they march up to the top of the hill, and won't come down again. The band list influences including Tom Waits, Nancy Griffiths, Leonard Cohen and Iron and WIne. http://www.troubadourrose.com/ www.myspace.com/troubadourrose The 2013 lineup consists of Bryony Afferson (vocals/guitar), Lizzie O'Connor (banjo/vocals/mandolin) and Gary Bridgewood (violin). previous members Eddie Edwards (double bass), and Magnus Alanko (drums).
