Trophy Wife is the name used by several different bands from different places and styles.
Oxford indie/electronic/math rock band
This version of Trophy Wife is an English indie/electronic/math rock band from Oxford. The line-up includes Jody Prewett on vocals, guitar and bass, Ben Rimmer on keyboards, and Kit Monteith on drums and percussion. The band tours with Foals and Moshi Moshi. Its recorded output begins with the debut single Microlite in 2010, followed by the EP Bruxism in 2011 and the self-titled debut album Trophy Wife in 2013. After releasing that album, the band states that it is putting Trophy Wife to rest.
Philadelphia punk and post-hardcore duo
Another Trophy Wife is a two-piece punk and post-hardcore band from Philadelphia. It centres on the musical partnership of Diane Foglizzo, who handles vocals and guitar, and Katy Otto, who handles vocals and drums. The project forms in Washington, DC in 2009 and has a strong social justice orientation. Its influences include The Need, Shellac, Big Business and Lauryn Hill. The band releases three albums: Patience Fury in 2010, Sing What Scares You in 2012, and All the Sides in 2014.
Vancouver instrumental rock quartet
A third Trophy Wife is a Canadian instrumental rock quartet from Vancouver, British Columbia. The group consists of Louie Anyos on guitar, Darryl Greer on bass, Pablo Stolowicz on drums, and Victor Escoto on percussion. It releases a self-titled debut album in 2009 and an EP, Bridgeview Hymns, in 2012.
Brooklyn indie rock trio
A fourth Trophy Wife is a Brooklyn-based indie rock trio. The members are McKenzie Iazzetta on guitar and vocals, Christian Pace on bass, and Michael Martelli on drums. It releases the EPs Bruiser in 2021 and Voyeur in 2022, followed by the debut album Get Ugly in 2024.
