Tron Jensen
Tron is also the stage name of singer-songwriter Tron Jensen, who is born in Bergen on Norway’s west coast. He begins by playing trumpet in a school band, then turns to guitar after a first romantic setback and starts writing songs. He performs extensively with his musician partner and friend Tommy Sulen, and the pair work as professional entertainers after a round-the-world trip, largely aboard the square-rigged sailing ship Søren Larsen. That period leads to more than 1200 gigs and shapes his interest in the sea, which becomes a recurring subject in his writing. He writes songs about the mystical side of travel as well as hope, dreams and love. In 1996, after a trip to the Amazon jungle and a visit to the World Rainforest Organization, he produces and performs the CD Rainy Day in Manaus in support of the organisation’s work for children. In 1998 he founds Tron Productions and begins developing the songs for the CD ocean, working with various musicians and producers.
