Tristram

Tristram is a name used by several different acts. One is an abandoned moniker for a Swedish solo musician who records a demo during 2006 and 2007, later issued as a full-length on Elitmusik.

London group

Another Tristram is a four-piece from London. The group plays seven instruments between its members and writes songs about a wide range of subjects, including zombies, James Dean, authors, love stories, relationships that go wrong, ships, bicycles, astral travel and fruit. Its sound is not as light-hearted as that list suggests, but it is still described as very agreeable. The band’s first EP, Someone Told Me A Poem, appears on Oh, Invented World Music, and its second EP, Accidents & Artifice, appears on Broken Sound Records.

Other acts using the name

The name is also used by a DIY hardcore/screamo band from Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose songs focus on hatred of god, prisons and “shitty people”. In addition, there is a dungeon synth project from New York using the same name.
