Tripwires

Tripwires are a shoegaze group from the United Kingdom, originally from Reading, England. They are active from 2005 and are associated with shoegaze, indie rock, post-punk, indie and alternative music.

Formation and style

The group forms in 2007 and draws on influences from My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth and The Smashing Pumpkins. Their sound sits within shoegaze, with links to indie rock and post-punk.

Line-up

The current line-up includes Rhys Edwards on vocals and guitar, Joe Stone on vocals, guitar and keyboard, Ben White on bass, and Sam Pilsbury on drums.

Record label

Their debut album is set for release on Frenchkiss Records.
