Trickski

Trickski are a German house and techno group made up of Daniel Becker, Yannick Labbé and Fna Müller. The project is associated with deep house and electronic music, and it draws on Chicago and Detroit influences.

Background

The group is based in Germany and has worked under the Trickski name for many years. Earlier descriptions of the project identify Daniel Becker and Yannick Labbé as the core DJs, and also note Becker’s alias as Daniel “störte” Becker. Trickski’s music blends old dance anthems, upfront house and more techno-oriented sounds.

Releases and labels

Trickski release music on Sonar Kollektiv and Mina Records. Their catalogue includes Hormony on Compost Black Label, the Sweat / Sunshine Fu*k 12-inch on Sonar Kollektiv, and entries in the “Member Of The Trick” series, including The Bat, Le Coq Sportif and Powerhorse. Other releases mentioned include Maingirl and a remix of Mustang’s 10.000 leagues deeper.

Remixes, compilations and DJ work

The group also remixes other artists, including Slope’s Citysteps, 12th Floor’s Salsa 313, Studio R feat. Mocky’s Clapz, Movementz’s the locust - 29 calls, and Martin Solveig’s Rejection. Trickski’s tracks appear on compilations such as Fabric 25, Fabric 26, Get Lost, Body Language and Broadcasting. They also compile a selection for Compost’s I like it! Vol. 2 alongside Trevor Jackson, Richard Dorfmeister and Pole.

As DJs, Trickski play clubs including Weekend and Cookies in Berlin, Fabric and The End in London, Club 11 in Amsterdam, Culture Box in Copenhagen, Dada in Tel Aviv, Sotomarino Giallo in Milan, Rollerboys in Stockholm, Zukunft in Zürich and Root Down in Freiburg.
