Trash Talk are an American hardcore punk band from Sacramento, California, active since 2005. They release music on Odd Future Records and are known for touring extensively in the United States, Europe and Japan, as well as for festival appearances and coverage in publications such as Rolling Stone.
History
The band forms in 2005 and first releases a demo that year on Sell Our Souls Records. In 2006 they issue a split with Bay Area band Steel Trap on Spiderghost Pressgang, then sign to Rumble Records to record their debut album Walking Disease. In 2007 they move to Malfunction Records, an imprint of Deathwish Inc., for the EP Plagues, which later combines with Walking Disease on a compilation release.
After touring with groups including Cruel Hand, they leave Deathwish Inc. and set up their own label, Trash Talk Collective. In 2008 they travel to Chicago with Steve Albini to work on a full-length album. The single "East of Eden" follows in 2009 and features Keith Morris, known for his work with Off!, Black Flag and Circle Jerks.

Eyes & Nines is released in 2010, first digitally and in Europe before appearing on CD and vinyl in the United States. The band also records a live session for BBC Radio 1 around this period. Their five-song EP Awake comes out in 2011 on True Panther Sounds. In 2012 they sign to Odd Future Records, becoming the first artist outside the Odd Future hip-hop collective and the first non-hip-hop act on the label. Their album 119 follows on Odd Future Records in partnership with Trash Talk Collective and RED Distribution, and No Peace is released in 2014.
