Trash Kit

Trash Kit are a London-based post-punk group active since 2008. The group centres on Rachel Aggs, Rachel Horwood and Ros Murray, with the lineup also given as Ray Aggs and Ros Murray. Their members also play in other acts: the two Rachels are in The Madrigals, while Ros Murray plays in Electrelane and Ray Rumours.

Their music combines chaotic energy with trippy melody, with overlapping vocals, expressive drum patterns and guitar lines forming a dense, lively sound. The group has released a CD-R that repeatedly sells out at shows, an LP on Upset The Rhythm, and a split 7-inch with Woolf on MILK records. Their track “Chinese Boy” also appears on the 2009 Methodist Leisure Inc. free punk and noise compilation Short Attention Span.
