Traams

Traams are a Chichester-based post-punk band active since 2011. Their sound is associated with post-punk, grunge, indie rock, krautrock, punk and shoegaze, and they are also tagged with garage rock, noise rock and crank wave.

Formation

The group forms in summer 2011 in Chichester, West Sussex. The line-up consists of Stu, Adam and Leigh. According to the band’s own account, they meet through a club night run by Stu, then begin writing together after their first rehearsal, which produces a single large, forceful song and leads them to continue meeting weekly.

Style

Traams are described as a noisy, energetic band with a krautrock influence, built around a thunderous and chaotic guitar-driven sound.
