Toxik Ephex

Toxik Ephex are an anarcho-punk and punk group from Aberdeen. Formed in 1979, they make their vinyl debut in 1982 on the Crass Records compilation Bullshit Detector with the track “Police Brutality”.

Releases and recordings

The band’s first 7-inch single is Fallout Shelter, issued in 1986 on Aberdeen label Green Vomit Records. The earliest copies use a handmade black-and-white sleeve, put together by the band before the proper sleeves arrive. On the same label, they also release a debut album as a split record with Edinburgh anarcho-punk band Oi Polloi. Over time, they issue several other singles and one full-length album.

Activity and line-up

The group remains active and plays live in Scotland. The members listed are Dod Copland, Inspector Blake, Mikey Gloo Pimp, Chiz Pirie and Dave Wilkinson.
