Towel

Towel is a trio from Bristol made up of Roxy, Rosa and Camille. The group plays keyboard-inflected punk with simple melodies, percussion and increasingly intense crescendos, alongside furious vocals.

Their lyrics focus on the routine difficulties of being a queer woman. In the track “feed yr guts”, the repeated line “Taking up space is a challenge every day” becomes a central statement in the song.

The name has also been used for an American post-punk and experimental-punk band from San Francisco, California.
