Total Chaos is a punk band from Pomona, United States, formed in 1989 and still active. The group plays hardcore punk, street punk, punk, and crossover thrash, and is associated with Chaos Records.

History and style

The band comes from Pomona Valley, California and is an American hardcore and street punk group. Its activity includes both music and political or community organising, with the group helping to start United Valley Punks, Orange County Peace Punks, and the Alternative Gathering Collective. With help from Jay Lee of Resist and Exist, it takes part in social events such as Food Not Bombs, helps open the Los Angeles Anarchist Center, and supports the Big Mountain Indian Reservation.

Members

The current line-up includes Rob Chaos on lead vocals, Shawn Smash on guitar and vocals, DeDe Gearhardt on bass, and Steve Gearbox on drums. Former members include Gary Doom, Ronald McMurder, Germ, Foffle, Suzy Homewrecker, Traci Michaels, Danny Boy Virus, Joe E. Bastard, Charlie Brenes, and Todd Trash, with those members covering guitar, drums, and bass across different periods.
