Torqux & Twist

Torqux & Twist

Torqux & Twist are a dubstep and electronic group made up of cousins Jimmy and Dave, with Dave also known as Twist. The project begins with Jimmy in 2009, and the pair work together on productions under the Torqux & Twist name as well as on separate projects.

In 2012, the two move into Torqux as a full-time duo, after earlier work that includes Jimmy’s first release, Relentless, and a 16bit remix that helps bring attention to the project. Their output includes number one tracks on Beatport, mixes for Jaguar Skills and Mista Jam, and remixes for Tiesto, Mark Knight, Modestep, Jaguar Skills and 679 Records.

The duo’s tracks also appear in movie trailers, alongside material used for Jaguar Skills and Get Darker mix CDs. Their music receives support from a wide range of names in the bass music scene, including Basement Jaxx, Skrillex, Tommy Lee, Chasing Shadows, Borgore, 16Bit, Excision, Downlink, Datsik, Nero, Funtcase, Bar 9, Modestep, Trolley Snatcha, Reid Speed, The Freestylers, Freq Nasty, Stenchman, High Rankin, DJ Switch, Skism, Jimi Mistry, Document One, Culprate and Cookie Monsta.
