TopHouse

TopHouse is a folk band from Missoula, active since 2015. The group forms around guitarist and songwriter Jesse Daniel Davis and violinist William Cook, with Joseph Robert Larson on lead vocals, guitar and banjo, and Andy Lafave on piano. It begins as a duo before expanding to its later four-piece line-up.

Formation and early years

The band starts in Missoula and builds a local following there, with the Missoulian naming it one of the area’s top five new bands in two consecutive years. In 2019, TopHouse moves to Nashville, Tennessee, where it takes up a local residency and gets airplay on the radio station Lightning 100.

Releases and activity

TopHouse’s releases include Middle of Somewhere, Hopes & Fears, Snapshot, The Irish EP and Campfire Stories. The band also releases the singles “Better is the End” and “Be Nobody”. Alongside touring and studio work, it develops an online following through social media and continues to play venues in a range of U.S. cities.
