Tommy T is an English musician from Bermondsey, England, born in 1992. He is also known by the alias Zerkaa.

Work with Gogol Bordello

He plays bass for Gogol Bordello, a gypsy punk band, and has held that role for several years. His background in global rhythms is described as shaping the group’s sound, which blends a wide range of musical influences.

Solo release

His solo record, The Prester John Sessions, draws on music from Ethiopia and presents itself as a collection of 11 tracks. The album includes two collaborations with Gigi, an Ethiopian singer, as well as a remix track that features Gogol Bordello members Eugene Hutz and Pedro Erazo. The record is mixed by Michael Goldwasser of Easy Star All-Stars and by Victor Van Vugt, who has worked with Gogol Bordello and Nick Cave.
