Tom Smith

Tom Smith is a filk singer from Ann Arbor, United States. He appears in American geek rock and filk circles, combining high-energy folk rock with science fiction and fantasy themes, popular culture, progressive politics, cartoon voices, puns and occasional recipes in performance. He is the only recording artist to appear on both NPR’s Sound and Spirit and The Dr. Demento Show.

Career and recognition

He wins thirteen Pegasus Awards for Excellence in Filking and is inducted into the Filk Hall of Fame. His projects include iTom, in which he releases a free song every week, and The Funny Music Project.
