Tom Paley is an American guitar, banjo and fiddle player best known for his work (along with John Cohen and Mike Seeger) in The New Lost City Ramblers, the Old Reliable String Band, and the New Deal String Band. A figure in the early Greenwich Village folk scene, Paley was important in stirring interest in performing folk songs in their original manner.
