Tom Lewis is a folk singer and songwriter associated with sea shanties and nautical song. He is born in Northern Ireland and later lives in Canada’s Rocky Mountains. Lewis spends 24 years in the British Royal Navy, and that background informs the authenticity of his performances of maritime material. He wins the inaugural Trophée Stan Hugill, an award linked to sea chantey performance. French audiences dub him “The Springsteen of Sea Chanteys”.
