Tom Budden is a DJ and producer working in electronic music, with a style that spans techno, tech house, minimal and minimal techno. He builds his profile through club sets, radio broadcasting and releases under his own name and in collaboration with other artists.

DJ and club work

He holds residencies at High Tide and Release in Southampton. He also plays regular sets at clubs in London and elsewhere, including Jaded at AKA, Cocoon at The End and Kristal in Romania. As a live DJ, he has appeared alongside Steve Bug, Steve Lawler, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli and Sven Vath.

Radio and label activity

Budden presents ALiVE, a monthly radio show on Proton Radio. It airs on the last Friday of each month and includes a 60-minute mix from Budden as well as a guest mix; past guests include Paul Woolford and James Zabiela. In 2008 he sets up ALiVE Recordings as a platform for his own productions and for releases by other artists with a similar outlook.

His releases include Tom Budden/James Talk - Toad In The Whole, Tom Budden - Nomansland, Tom Budden - Snakebite/Muddy Face, Tom Budden and James Talk - The Cows Are Coming Home, Tom Budden and Alan Fitzpatrick - Someone's Wrecked Your Car, and Tom Budden and James Talk - Gnarly Dave E.P.. He also remixes Loca by Sam Ball and Mark Gwinnett, and a remix by Stallos appears on Someone's Wrecked Your Car.
