TIX, also known as Andreas Haukeland, is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, producer and musician from Bærum, outside Oslo. He is known for working in russemusic, a Norwegian party music style, and for making some of the most streamed Norwegian songs in recent years.

Career

TIX breaks through in 2015 with the russsong “Sjeiken 2015”. The following year he releases his debut album, Dømt og berømt, which consists of russ songs. He has six number-one singles on Norway’s Topplista chart.

Eurovision

TIX represents Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with “Fallen Angel”.

Other work and personal background

He is also a mental health awareness advocate and speaks publicly about living with Tourette syndrome, loneliness and suicidal thoughts. He is bullied as a child because of Tourette syndrome, and his stage name comes from the nickname “tics”, which he is given at school. His second studio album, Enten går det bra, ellers går det over, is released in 2022.
