Titan

Titan is an instrumental psychedelic, space rock and krautrock group from Brooklyn, New York, United States. It is active from 2004 and is made up of Josh Anzano and Steve Moore.

Style and sound

The group sits within prog and stoner rock and metal, with tags including sludge, screamo, space rock, hardcore and post-metal. Its broader genre profile also includes doom metal, jam band, krautrock, progressive metal, progressive rock and psychedelic rock.

Releases and activity

Its releases include the self-released CD-R album Pilzmarmelade, a limited self-titled album on Paradigms Recordings, and A Raining Sun of Light and Love, For You and You and You on Tee Pee Records. The group plays its first show with Zombi in early 2005, and it later tours the East Coast with Saviours.

Titan also appears in support of a range of acts associated with heavy psych and noise rock, including Comets on Fire, Lightning Bolt, Boris, Witch, DMBQ, Blue Cheer and Suishou no Fune.
