Tim Hoyte
Tim Hoyte is a singer-songwriter based in Hastings, East Sussex. He performs solo and with accompaniment, and has been playing gigs since 2000, mainly in the South East of the UK.
Style and influences
His music mixes alternative folk with a range of other influences, including psychedelic music, East European and Gypsy styles, English folk, French folk and rock. The sound of his work is described as drawing especially on folk and Gypsy traditions, alongside elements of 1960s pop.
Recordings
Hoyte has recorded two albums: The Nothing Machine and Ephemeral. The Nothing Machine combines English folk with 1960s pop, psychedelic music and European folk and Gypsy elements. Ephemeral covers similar ground, but places greater emphasis on folk and Gypsy influences.
