Tich is the stage name of Rachel Furner, a British pop singer and songwriter from the United Kingdom. She is a solo artist born in 1993 and is associated with the UK pop scene.
Career
Tich emerges in 2012 as an online pop act, building a following through video and social media activity. Her early profile grows quickly, and she attracts public support from One Direction, Olly Murs, JLS, Nick Jonas and The Wanted.
She co-writes Breathe in Breathe Out with Nick Jonas. The song is one of the tracks that helps raise her profile online.
Releases
Her debut release is The Candle Light EP, which reaches number 15 in the iTunes pop chart. Her debut single Dumb charts at number 23 in the UK singles chart and number 12 in Capital Radio’s Big Top 40.
Another single, Obsession, is also part of her early catalogue.
Live work and collaborations
Tich plays more than 100 shows from June 2012 onwards to audiences totalling over 100,000. She supports JLS, Little Mix and Olly Murs, then joins Stooshe on a UK tour before supporting Olly Murs on a 28-date UK arena tour. She also announces a headline tour with dates in the UK, Germany, France and Scandinavia.
She co-writes material for a debut album with songwriters including Mat Prime, Wayne Hector, Andrew Frampton and Ki Fitzgerald.
Audience and online presence
Her fanbase, often referred to as the Tichfam, grows alongside her online presence. At this point she has more than 3.5 million YouTube views, 20,000 YouTube subscribers, 25,000 Twitter followers and 8,000 Facebook likes.
