Threatmantics

Threatmantics is a Welsh band from Cardiff. It begins as a three-piece, with Heddwyn Davies on vocals and viola, Ceri on one other line-up role, and Huw on drums. The group later becomes a four-piece with Heddwyn Davies, Andrew Lewis on guitar, Gareth Middleton on bass, and Huw Alun Davies on drums.

Releases

The band’s first album, Upbeat Love, is recorded while it is still a trio and appears on Double Six Records, a Domino Records subsidiary. Its second album, Kid McCoy, follows in 2012.

Recognition

In the same month that Upbeat Love is released, Stereogum names Threatmantics a “Band To Watch”.
