These Monsters
These Monsters are a rock band from Leeds, United Kingdom, formed in 2005 and active since then. They work in post-rock, and their sound is described as drawing on vintage amplifiers, big drums and a high-energy live approach.
The band develops across a range of heavy and expansive styles, moving from dense walls of noise through prog-influenced material and back to straightforward rock and roll. Their music is presented as loud, aggressive and closely tied to a strong sense of creative change.
Live activity
These Monsters play major festival and support slots. They appear at Reading & Leeds, Exit Festival in Serbia and Incubate in Holland, and they also play All Tomorrow's Parties concerts in London. Their support appearances include shows with Russian Circles, Foals, These Arms Are Snakes, Oceansize, Coheed and Cambria, 65 Days of Static, Jeniferever, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Pulled Apart By Horses, Mono, Envy, Health, Unsane, The Whip and The Fall.
Line-up
The group consists of Ian Thirkill on bass, Tommy Davidson on drums, and Sam Pryor on guitar and vocals.
